It was only one week ago that we heard the news of Joe Biden's withdraw from the race and his endorsement of VP Kamala Harris, but so much has happened in that week! She raised over $200 million (for 66% of these donors it was their first donation to a campaign this cycle), received 170,000 volunteer sign ups, and held 2300 organizing events. She exploded on social media, gaining 3.1 million followers within days of joining TikTok. Gen Z has made it clear, they're on board.
The excitement is palpable everywhere, including right here in northern Winnebago County. We're filled with hope and thrilled at the prospect of actually winning this race, but we've still got work to do. The thing is - now this work is going to be fun!
